In Limbo

-The Background-

When you are in ‘Limbo’ you act on things in a different way. “I procrastinate,

so I feel like I have something more important to do", says Joe in his dry self-

depreciating style. Joe (Joe Rosati) has been through some difficult times lately.

But for Joe’s sake he has friends that want him to succeed. Mike (Michael

Winfrey) is a fast talking wise-guy, who has all the answers, or so he thinks.

Ben (Ben Warner) is a comedian. He seems to be a combination of Andy

Kaufman, Bill Murray, and Will Ferrell. Nick (Nick Snapp) was once the

wildest one of the four, but times changed. He has been married for nearly 3

months and been working a steady job for six. They are all trying to help

Joe get out of “Limbo”.

“Limbo” is the first full length feature film from New Empire Productions. Using

what they have learned on their previous successful short films (“For Hire”,

“The Warrior”, and “End Game”) they have moved up to tackle a feature film.

The story was born out of real life events that happened to Rosati, Winfrey,

Snapp, and Warner. “When I first heard Joe tell me a little of his past, I saw

the framework for a great story.” says Winfrey.

In the spring of 2004 Rosati, Winfrey, and Warner met in a theatre class at a

local college and became friends quickly. Winfrey then introduced them to his

long time friend, Nick Snapp, his partner in film making. They soon began the

task of ‘rearranging Joe’s past and coming up with a story that would be both

funny and sentimental to all of them.
